ANIPC: Multi Actuator Control Software/PC
The ANCO ANIPC 100-800 (1-8 actuator) controllers are flexible digital controllers
for general testing applications used to control multiple actuators during quasi
static and lower frequency dynamic testing. ANIPC can control from 1 to 8 actuators
independently and simultaneously, while sampling up to 128 channels of data. ANIPC
is an open loop controller in that displacement or force feedback from the actuators
is measured but does not change the output drive signals. The addition of the optional
pseudo dynamic testing module closes the loop during such testing at low frequency.
The large screen, multi-window graphic user interface (GUI) allows viewing of all
channels and quick adjustment of any test parameters. The interface provides guided
test set-up. The set-up software includes actuator operating parameters and safety,
drive signal definition, calibration factors, test annotation, and run sequencing
or block cycling. Each user defined set-ups can be saved, recalled, modified and
archived. All data can be exported to other applications.
ANIPC is a PC-based, ANCO written Virtual Instrument (VI) using which produces drive
signals and acquires data using National Instruments hardware.
The ANIPC hardware and software is specified below and allows the following functions:
- Pentium IV based with National Instruments/LabVIEW hardware/software,
- 32-128 Channel ADC, 16 Channel DAC (16 bit),
- Data acquisition rate up to 5000 samples per second per channel,
- Generation of simultaneous actuator control signals including sine tests, offset
sine tests, and ramping to static loads using signal generator definition window.
- Ability to import user defined time histories or internally generated spectrum compatible
earthquake traces (see ANCO SPECTIME)
- Plotting of force vs. time, displacement vs. time, and force vs. displacement
- Fourier Transform computation and plotting
- Individual and independent operation of actuators
- Additional processing of input signals: +, -, x, /, and trigonometric functions
- Import and export of data in ASCII or EXCEL type formats
- Display of a run-time window during the test, which provides access to the various
parameters and user controls
- The run-time window remains active and accessible until the operator elects to end
the process or until a predefined test event occurs
Optional Pseudo Dynamic Testing closed loop module:
- · Force and displacement feedback used to modify drive history
- · Ability to enter up to a 20 DOF structural model
- · Structural solution times allowing testing at a rate up to 0.01 of real time with
typical earthquake excitation.
