CENTRIVIEW: Geocentrifuge Control and Data Acquisition Software/PC

 

 

 

CENTRIVIEW is a PC-based controller for performing geocentrifuge experiments.  The capabilities of CENTRIVIEW are:

 

 

·  Allows the user to define the desired centrifuge speed/acceleration and provides for block cycling.

·  Creates the drive signal to the centrifuge and verifies centrifuge speed/acceleration via a pulse feedback.

·  Acquires a video signal from the basket mounted CCD camera and displays the image on the GUI screen.

·  Provides for saving video image frames and tracking of a soil interface via the video image frames.

·  Provides comprehensive video imaging analysis tools to track movement of soil for acceleration and time.

·  The movement of any specified point on the interface can be plotted and archived.

·  Test data set-ups can be saved and retrieved for later use, review, and modification.

 

 

CENTRIVIEW is a PC-based, ANCO written, Virtual Instrument (VI) using LabVIEW which produces drive signals and acquires data using National Instruments hardware.

CENTRIVIEW is based on programs originally developed for student geocentrifuge experiments at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA.
